I think this whole thing started as a talk about legalizing pot. Everything I've read points toward the fact that pot is less dangerous than alcohol. I thought that's how this whole thing came up. Maybe I'm not remembering the sequence right, but I certainly never argued that pot made you a better driver, I think I merely said (and the evidence seems to suggest this) that alcohol was MORE dangerous (and yet it's legal).

Obviously, for folks who want to argue that pot should stay illegal, the driving thing does not work in their favor. Alcohol and many prescription drugs cause much more serious impairments than pot does.

I think we both agree that it is irresponsible (and criminal) to drive under the influence of any drug, or to drive when you are so tired your responses are impaired.
