I understand your points, but still, amending the Constitution is not something to be done lightly. What matters to you has to matter to an awful lot of people in order to get an amendment passed.

I wonder if the proposed flag-burning amendment actually has a chance of passing. Can the population of two-thirds of the states really feel that strongly about it? According to a recent poll, 63% of the people polled were against it.
