FORTUNE Small Business Names Orbit International to Its 2005 Fastest Growing Small Companies List

Thursday June 23, 10:50 am ET

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 23, 2005--Orbit International Corp. (NASDAQ:ORBT), a supplier of military and defense electronics, today announced that it has been ranked 72nd on the fifth annual FORTUNE Small Business (FSB) list of the 100 fastest growing small companies in America. The list appears in the July/August issue of FORTUNE Small Business, which will be on newsstands July 4th, and is now available at fsb.com.

To compile the list, FORTUNE Small Business asked financial research firm Zacks to screen for public companies with annual revenue of less than $200 million and a stock price of more than $1. Within that group, companies were ranked based on the past three years' earnings growth, revenue growth, and stock performance. Real estate firms and banks, which had begun to override the list in recent years, were not considered for the list this year.

Dennis Sunshine, Orbit's President and CEO, noted, "Making the FSB 100 was based upon our financial performance and is therefore a reflection of combined efforts of all of the people who make up the Orbit family. I am proud of them and we share this recognition."
