Mr. Harmony, Give me a break. MM names are not SECRET info. Any broker or amateur like me can access this info easily. Publishing the names is meaningless. Go post us another quote from your book. I prefer to keep the discussion informative and on topic. This is info you should know to make intelligent trades. David. This is very easy. Here are the first 5 MM's again: NAIB .1825 NAWE .2050 NAWE .1800 ALEX .2050 MHMY .1800 CANT .2100 SHRP .1750 EQUI .2150 ALEX .1750 MHMY .2150 Ok. All these MM's are competing with one another on the bid and the ask, (if they desire). The MM screen you see in a level II nasdaq system will show the bid in descending order and the asks in ascending order. So the first line above is your inside bid/ask. NAIB has the highest bid. NAWE your lowest ask. This is the spread you will see in yahoo, etc. Notice 2 different MM's. So you see, MM's do not collectively decide what the bid/ask is. They each have their own inventories of EUTO and decide what they are willing to buy and sell it at in response to the demands from investors. Some traders will refer to the inside bid as 1 x 2. This means 1 MM bidding at price A and 2 MM's bidding at price B. The second level would be 2 x 1 (2 MM's at .1800 and 1 at .2050). If you see the situation go to 4 x 1, it generally means the bid is about to pop up, because 4 mm's are looking to buy at the same price (competition). One will up the ante to get his shares. These are the kind of things you can see developing when watching the MM's. You can see their posture changing, and react to it quickly if you so choose. Hope this helps some. mike mike
