Some of the people rounded up were just passing through and got stuck. That may happen here and there--some farmer who happened to have a battle breakout on his land. But if we have to prove by standard rules of evidence that each of them was really a combatant, how would we convict any of them? Maybe you want to run yellow tape around the battlefield and send in a battalion of CSIs? I am having trouble envisioning how you would see this trial play out. Maybe you could describe a trial scenario for me. [BTW, Where would we ever find the lawyers and the translators to do this work? Is that how you really want to use our scarce translator corps?]
