Tony Blair gave a speech to European parliment about the future of Europe last night (my time) and Bloomberg had most of it live.

He said Europe needed a "reality check" on policies, and the rejection of the Euro constituion by voters of founding countries.

He also asked what kind of 'social policy' has 20 million young people unemployed ?

He had some oblique remarks about the Euro and ECB rate policies, essentially indicating that looser policies and growth might help the Euro.

I will see if I can find a transcript.

I think it is worth reading. Blair lays out the key chioces facing the European Union project.
