Kerry's policies are tough common sense centrist-progressive not liberal.

In the past he was more liberal, when that tag actually meant something, but changed in the early 90's along with the Clinton centrists. Ever since voting against the Gulf War, Kerry has gotten much more centrist in hiew views. But that diodn't stop the rightwing from claiming he is the most liberal senator, a big lie. They used deceptive statistics mainly relating to votes on wedge issues which the rightwing intentionally sends through the senate in order to get people to vote against nasty-sounding stuff like flag-burning. In fact Delay spend all day yesterday wasting congress's time on yet another flag-burning vote.

How many Americans have ever burned a flag? One out of 50,000,000? Such an important issue, huh?
