MrB, I agree, although I haven't researched the issue to the extent you have. My impression, however, is that the stink was raised largely based upon "inflammatory rhetoric" (IMHO) from the press (Financial Times, in this case).
I'm not aware of any formal anouncement from NASDAQ about what it intends to do, or not do. So technically speaking, nothing has happened, or will happen - other than what's been reported in the press. Is this correct?
It is interesting to me that words like "bounty" and "surveillance" tend to stir up emotions all out of proportion to what may really be happening. If such inflammatory wording is combined with jerks who enjoy exploiting people's concerns and emotions, then an explosive combination, as in mixing gasoline and fire, is the likely result.
My opinion is that when the press, inflammatory rhetoric from the press, and jerks all get together - most anything can happen. As an example, think about what just happened to Princess Di.
