Yoy give the rightwing far too much credit. As stated before, something about the Terri Schiavo affair plus Iraq has really broken their backs. They no longer have any moral authority. Hence they are trying to spin back to 9-11 and make people remember the popularity spurt Bush (or any commander in chief in his situation) had going for awhile before reality sunk back in. By next year, we also ought to see the real estate and stock market bubbles at least partially popped and more trouble with health care and jobs. Plus the huge-huge deficits.
