Koresh was a criminal religious maniac who took his followers hostage, amidst a huge arsenal and flammable materials and for days refused to give himself up to federal agents investigating reports of a dangerous cuckoo bird religous cult with an illegal arsenal. Finally the feds fired in a tear gas grenade, the right move usually to avoid violence, and the greande touched off a firestorm as Koresh has surrounded his people with highly flammable materials. Koresh got most of his people killed. It was a suicide cult. and the rightwing lies to this day saying they were "christians". They were not christians anymore than Jim Jones was a christian. And the federal officers were not responsible for their deaths. They did the best they could to try and save lives. Rush Limbaugh and others lied and said this was a scandal against Clinton. As a result, a rightwing kid named Timothy McVeigh became the second worst terrorist in US history. Proving that extreme rightwingers are just sick, insane, dishonest and dangerous as Al Qaida.
