Rabbi Tenchu, please stop jumbling "truth" with "religion"... Truth, that is, the ultimate truth (though I prefer the French notion of Sens Absolu) stands above religion --way above.

Well, that's right insofar as atheism explicitly asserts that there is no "god" or any other transcendental principle and that all reality is circumscribed to the physical world. In this sense, atheism merely mirrors monotheism... I personally view the whole thing as a mountain: at the top of the mountain lies what you call the Truth --a spiritual Everest of sorts. Many people are climbing up the mountain: Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, etc., all winding up different paths. Whatever the chosen path, eventually, they'll all gather at the mountain's summit.
