Spectral bandwidth is basically the frequency (or wavelength) range
of the output. Very narrow bandwidths are required for use in
refractive optical systems to limit chromatic (wavelength related) aberrations. Reflective (and Cadiotropic) systems don't
have the C.A. problems of all refractive systems.

I don't know what technique they are using in tighening the bandwidth
of their lasers. If they are using a simple filter then that may
reduce the output power, lowering the throughput of the overall system.
