Bush-Cheney cheated in Florida in 2000. Absolutely, 57,700 votes scrubbed illegally. Of course Gore and Nader never should have let it get so close in the first place. But once in power, Bush-Cheney-Delay with mastermind Rove had lied, cheated, divided and supressed all they could to hold onto that power. It worked for awhile solely due to the cowed public after 9-11 and our need to trust in our leaders. But most people no longer trust these rightwingers. They had their chance to tell the truth and be reasonable and they blew it. Arrogance, greed, selfish lust for power and outright insanity (like the Terri Schiavo affair and believing the US has enough soldiers to occupy the whole ME).
