"Why do you bother posting such ridiculous hyperbole?"
Is this more hyperbole or is it "dorky" to call it more hyperbole?
"We have a contender which may force IBM to offer Turion in the Thinkpad.
Turion notebooks offer compelling advantages: security card reader, fingerprint reader, 64 bits, more performance, MiMo WiFi, WiMax upgrade, $1000 price, 7 hour battery. 6 lb.
Its a new category: cock of the rock."

Again, call it what you will, but I'd call the HP Compaq nx6125 notebook the most important notebook announcement that has ever been made in support of AMD's notebook efforts.
As indicated in an earlier post, 60% of the 50M plus unit per annum mobile market is in business purchases. Looking at it another way, with the HP announcement, AMD now has access to a new 30M/annum mobile space from which AMD had hitherto been shut out.
Again, Holy cow! AMD just gained entry to a new 30M unit/annum sector. And what's more, the HP Compaq nx6125 notebook, does look like it has the necessary features to compete very, very effectively.
It's one thing to enter a new 30M plus units/annum market. It's another to enter it with a sub-$1000 feature rich offering.
Yeah, I think the the 6 lb HP Compaq nx6125 notebook with its security card reader, fingerprint reader, 64 bits, more performance, MiMo WiFi, WiMax upgrade, $1000 price, 7 hour battery might capture more than a tad of this 30M units/annum sector. Hyperbole? I doubt it. |
