I sure think if a draft returns that the heat will rise to unbearable temperatures for Bush & Co. At least, I hope so. The writer does make an interesting point, I think, and something I hadn't thought of before. Part of the angst leftover from the 60's, imo, is the divide between those who were actively against the war and those who stood by it for dear life, or loss of life. The majority of the people stood back, and even when they knew in their hearts we were on the wrong track, they could not come to grips with the idea that our nation had done something so very wrong. That made the "hippies" and "peaceniks" easy targets. But now the sea-change is spreading through all ages and all incomes and all groups that make up our country. The railing against traitors and coddlers of the enemy that abounded in 2002 and 2004 will fall flat now except with the true-believers. I think. Maybe. Could be? And when we raise more cain, it will be a mix of folks unlike most anything we've seen before. Maybe. :)
