Short term, this is a negative for the American worker but long term, its a big plus given India's huge population base and the average Indian's love of American products.

It will only help those who own a company which has products that Indians want to buy. At current stockholder trends that means the Chinese. Americans will be selling chicklets to the Indian tourists.

I disagree..........the Indians buy all manner of products made by US companies.......from cars to computers. For this world to be successful, the gap between the haves and have nots has to be reduced. One way of accomplishing that is to grow the industries in other countries. That's partly what outsourcing does.

Nonetheless, it can create initial pain for the donor country but in the end, the rewards can be huge. For a very strong example, look no further than China. As its wealth grows, its consumption increases.......of American products. After all, it was the growth of China that took us out of recession, and not ABB's tax cuts. At one time, the container ships coming from China to the US were full and went back empty. Now, they are mostly full both ways.
