. And average engineers are already really bright [compared with average guys] as they don't get into engineering universities without a good load of brainpower. There are only a few very bright people who get lucky and come up with something that is new and wonderful. Most engineers are like the rest of us. They don't get to do very much that is important. They get to do things that eventually computers can do. Most engineers that I know are very limited. Outside of being able to solve equations that someone else has an answer for, they can't do very much.
