I don't believe that is correct. If memory serves, she was urged to come forward by Nan Aron from the Alliance for Justice, an aide to Kennedy named Rikki Seidman, and Nina Totenberg. These three women had been browbeating her for days. She finally relented, probably due to exhaustion.
