Right you are, but, who says their goal is to prevent sovereignty? Why isn't their goal simply to wear the US down, demoralize them, make fools of bush for his illegal war, and make the US squander a trillion dollars??? How long did the Vietnam war take, JFK to Nixon, about 13 years. This time we don't even have any targets like Hanoi that we can carpet bomb. Now regular army like the North Vietnamese had. No strategy whatsoever except the illegal occupation of a foreign country and the routine breaking and entry of private homes and daily kidnapping of their citizens. It's clear to me who's evil in this picture.
