Save your cherries for a higher use than burning; furniture, etc. Cherry is a valuable wood.

The carrying yoke, and much of the other trim on
my canoe is cherrywood - its very strong and quite light.
Black cherry grows in small groves on a few places
around the farm and i just let it grow unless
one gets knocked over in an ice storm.

There is a huge grove of Black locust at the back
of the farm -- related to acacia I believe.
Mother Nature's "razorwire".
No need to worry about people wandering in through
the back of the property where it grows. <g>
