Tough question.

I use, and really like both Opera and FireFox browsers. I have, but do care for and do not use IE by choice -- only when it is the no-other-option alternative.

I seem to use Opera a little more often surfing than FireFox. Why? Well I think it is the very user-friendly Zoom feature that gives the Opera program it's slight edge. My Opera is setup with the MeGuDdo skin which is dark thus appearing less cluttered in my opinion. Of course both Opera and FireFox have skins to the Nth. power.

I can not detect a meaniful speed difference between the two.

Both have large and active online support groups and lots of add-ons. Search SI for both programs -- there is a lot of information right here.

Bottom line -- try both. They are both free, so I'd download and try both of them and then make up your mind or use both as I have done.
