American public is negative on MSM and becoming negative on this disingenous administration as well. Did you see Rummy yesterday on any of the shows? He is so authentic until you realize what he is saying. He is almost Orwellian. I would say that maybe 75% of all americans want a good outcome in iraq but more and more of those folks have given up on this administration either for providing one or leveling with the American people. Bush on tuesday needs to speak the truth. He should talk about the 14 provinces that are pacified and then level with us that in the sunni areas, things are much more difficult than we anticipated. At this point i have no idea whether we need more troops or less troops (as rummy suggested so it doesnt appear like an occupation), timelines or guideposts, negotiations with some sunni insurgents or not etc. But what i do know is that we need honesty and presidential leadership.
