Saudi Arabia IS the linking of monarchy and fundamentalism. That's who they are as a country. The Bushies like the monarchy part and they understand the utility of extremist religions. The Bush's aren't responsible for Saudi Arabia but they certainly support those dictators and profit greatly by their friendship.

So, you think the jihadists are the only extremists who want to kill nonbelievers? What about American Fundamentalist Evangelical Fake Christians who are actually looking forward to a time when the blood of everyone else reaches as 'high as a horse's bridle.' Our neighbors are have pretty dang violent thoughts.

Fundamentalism, of any stripe, SUCKS.

Many Americans benefit from the price of oil. ExxonMobil had record profits and $32 billion in cash they didn't know what to do with. There's also billions in corporate welfare for 'exploration' in places like ANWAR. What do you mean you can't see people profiting from the increase in oil prices?

Just get ready for $5.00/gal gasoline on a permanent basis. If Goldman Sachs is right, we could go from $60 to $100 bbl which means somewhere around $5/gal at the pump....or maybe more? Why is oil men Rice, Bush, Cheney et al not doing one dang thing about conservation?

Why doesn't Bush get on TV and ask that Americans sacrifice energy usage to reduce our dependency on foreign oil in the name of security? WHY?

The terrorists are not trying to purge all Shiites and Kurds. Terrorists don't kill massive numbers of people because they do not have the means. That would be the province of governments.
Some of those executed have been Sunnis.

If Bush is willing to topple Iraq in the name of (LOL) democracy. Why is he not willing to topple Saudi Arabia for the same? Does Saudi Arabia have the WMDs that Iraq didn't?
Saudi Arabia has 30% unemployment and a hugely corrupt, hugely wasteful monarchy. That's political stability?

Let's think realistically shall we? We, the US of A, the long remaining superpower (LOL) and the single greatest military force we have ever seen is STUCK in a third world country, decimated by decades of war and sanctions. We are STUCK in this country, pinned down by a relatively small number of insurgents, criminals, angry citizens and extremists using IEDs in coke cans and bombs in sedans.

WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK WE CAN DO AROUND THE WORLD?

Get real. We can't even placate Iraq OR Afghanistan and you want to declare war on what? With what?
