AIRN, The Boca Raton, FL broadband wireless access equipment Co.<g>

Was up 10% today and it is still trading higher after hours.<g>

On June 16 it announced the acquisition of ARNT for $8.7 M ($4M in cash + $4M in AIRN stock).ARNT is involved in VOIP and according to AIRN's president, the "acquisition represents a major milestone for the growth of Airspan."

"We expect ARNT's switching and gateway technologies will allow us to develop carrier-grade VOIP for WiMAX and WipLL systems."

"We will now be able to offer our customers an end-to-end solution with quality of service at a level consistent with that provided by traditional telephone company voice services."

AIRN reportedly has about $1.35 in cash/shr and no significant LTD The loss for the 1st Q (March) was cut down almost in half ($0.08 vs. $0.15) and the revenues were up almost 80% (22.2M vs. 12.4M) The EL for 2005 is around $0.14/shr again almost half of the $0.27/shr loss in 2004 and for 2006 the EE are $0.13/shr in the black.<g>

Caveat: AIRN and ALVR are a couple of my long positions on WIMAX and VOIP.<g>

The stock is closing its Nov.4 downgap and with the way the general market is behaving I wouldn't be surprised if the stock retests support at the 5.40 or even the 5.25 level (I hope it will do it since I am planning on adding to my position.<g>)
