Funny you mentioned that...I was pricing solar panels for mi casa in sunny Phoenix...it doesn't quite work out yet, even with the tax credits....but if a premium ends up getting paid for it down the road, it might be worthwhile (one of the reasons it doesn't look as good as it might is that Phoenix is the primary beneficiary of the Palo Verde Nuke plant, so electricity rates have remained fairly stable the last 5 years.
