What strikes me about the examples given in the allegations is that money talks. However queasy anyone may have felt about Intel's practices, they went along with them for money. And will not Wall Street think in the same way? Surely one possible inference to be drawn from the allegations is that AMD is comprehensively boxed in by Intel and no amount of superior technology or improved manufacturing facilities will help it break out. Therefore AMD profits will continue to be capped until such time as Intel stops its practices. And that is not likely to be any time soon although there may be incremental easing over the next two years as companies seek to prove that they are not part of any conspiracy. I think part of the American and certainly Wall Street mentality is "might is right" or "greed is good".
