They certainly are not ready now, but those who will not even consider an 18 month timeline for withdrawl think that they wont even be ready then. That my friend is not satisfactory and i dont believe it to be true if the iraqis are incented. What you are proposing in stay the course could end up being the sunni 4 province equivalent of the WB with the US playing the role of Israel. That will not play well over there or at home. It doesnt have to take 10 years for the iraqis to get ready unless we make it a self fulfilling prophecy by just saying we will stay the course. I want to incent them. What is so wrong with that and what is so wrong with expecting them to get plenty of folks ready to fight with our help of course. Mike PS It is called tough love
