Well, if you wish to believe (and I don't believe you for one second)--that for the last several thousand posts, Greg or e and the thread have been discussing whether the UNfertilized egg was or was not a legal person--then please enjoy your game!

I go away for a month and we get the invasion of the half-wits! Now I get home and have no computer. When my computer gets back I will be able to address such ignorant intrusions (as you have made) in somewhat more depth. Right now I have work to do.

Gosh! I can't believe you made that witless and asinine remark! It really does take all kinds!

Greg or e believes that the fertilized egg is a person entitled to the rights of a person right from the moment of conception.

"You posted that only the religious could be offended by aborting an egg."

See how you twist things around! What I said was:

"At the stage of an egg, there is Nothing to offend unless one is religious.""

In other words (DUH!)--it is my opinion that the only rationalized objection to aborting the unborn at the level of a speck would come from a religious persuasion. It does not mean that there do not exist half-witted people who are subjectively or irrationally offended. But, IMO--there is nothing TO offend unless it derives from a religious persuasion. You can certainly argue otherwise, if you wish. That would be far more useful than your asinine distortions.

I can try to talk really slow--with an easy analogy: At the stage of irrecoverable brain function there is nothing to offend in mercy killing unless one is religious (that does not mean that there do not exist non-religious people in some corner of the world who are yet offended by it). It means that, IN MY OPINION, there is nothing to offend in mercy killing in the case of a brain-dead person. You can argue otherwise or you can intentionally distort, misrepresent, or make snide and half-witted NON responses!

Now, Oeconomicus--DID you think I was talking about an UNfertilized egg being ABORTED!? Come on now! We have been discussing the question of the status and rights of the unborn from conception to just before birth for several thousand posts now! And it is hardly the first time it has been debated here! Do you think we've been discussing the abortion or the rights of the UNfertilized egg...and whether or not it can morally be "ABORTED"?? As I said...this MUST be the invasion of the half-wits!

And what sort of response do I expect from you? I expect it to be half-witted, asinine, totally evasive, misrepresenting--and as phoney as a six dollar bill!

Whew! I must remember to always say (fertilized) egg when we are discussing the egg (OH! I mean the FERTILIZED egg!), the morula, the blastocyst, and the fetus. Who needs the invasion of the half-wits!

But why waste my time. What sort of response do I expect from you? I expect it to be half-witted, asinine, totally evasive, misrepresenting--and as phoney as a six dollar bill! And I would wager anything that it will be all of those things! Fortunately, I won't see it for awhile. Have fun finding a way to distort what I have said and to mix that distortion with your insults and your puerile mentality! You are certainly providing amusement! Bye for now!
