<So, you have only two choices: 1) Stand up to it or, 2) Surrender to it.> That incompetence we now endure from Washington is borne of this sort of dumbass view of the world in which we live. What we need to stand up to is the fear and hatred that spawned 9/11 and shaped our response in the form of an invasion of Iraq -- and we are instead adding to the fear and hatred at every turn. We elected a government that requires our fear to stay in power. So long as we are driven by fear and hatred we will only sink deeper while clinging to the sort of idiotic jingoism -- you are with us or you are with the terrorists, etc..
