Nadine, three well placed shots from bolt action rifles per day spread over the entire country is all they need. It is that simple. We cannot defend against that. Coordinated attacks, holding territory, etc are irrelevant. We will not sustain 50 dead a month for another 7 or 8 months let along 80 dead per month for that duration. If the numbers creep into the 70-100 per month, change will come well before the end of this year

So a few bandits can take a country? Anyone listening to you, and extrapolating from casualties in WWII, Korea, Vietnam and Iraq would suppose that America was about to disband its military and surrender to the next comer, as it's obvious that America's ability to take casualties is dropping to zero. We took more casualties on one day of WWII than we have taken in this whole war. Whether Americans will take it further depends on whether they listen to Democrats saying "give up" or to Republicans saying "we are fighting for a good cause and high stakes, and making progress" - and yes, the partisan lines are that sharply drawn.
