Hey Folks, Jim Cramer's quite a guy, eh? He's now got a slot on CNBC that shows twice a day. It's called Mad Money. On first viewing it appeared like something of a three-way genetic splice between the Nineteen-Fiftees Cool Ghoul Zacherly < zacherley.com >, ad man extraordinaire of the Sixties Crazy-Eddie < pocketcalculatorshow.com > and the piercingly loud rock band Metallica < livemetallica.com >. I promised myself I wouldn't go any further into addressing what's on the tube these days, since I don't see any purpose in subjecting myself to the pain. All of my Discovery and Science Channels have become junkyard war zones and hangouts for thugs; Arts and Entertainment hasn't aired an artful show in six months; and the forensic crime scene stories that are all-pervasive these days are just too improbable to be believed, even if one wanted to be immersed in them just for the hell of it. Maybe my next play will be a double instead of a triple, after all. FAC frank@fttx.org
