As I theorized before, I think Bono is the second coming of Christ. He is not really pro-Bush, however--I would characterize his position as having a good working relationship with Bush. His band members were really upset that he even met with Bush, but Bono is driven to help save Africans from poverty and AIDS more than he is by anything else. He is a pragmatist, I would say. Billy Graham and Jesse Helms think very highly of him as well. He is definitely driven by his religious values, which are Catholic. Helping the poor is the most important thing to him. At the same time, he and Bill Clinton really enjoy each other's company--they hang out together in Temple Bar, by favorite Dublin neighborhood, whenever Bill is in town.

I really appreciated Bush a couple of weeks ago (first and last time). A British reporter asked him a question about Bono and said something about him being a mere rock star, and Bush got very serious and heavily defended him and the work he is doing in Africa. Even Bill O'Reilly is very respectful of Bono.
