Bono is a purely good person, who could have had a life of fun and self-indulgence. Instead he has devoted much of the time he isn't writing songs or performing to saving the world's poor. To me this is a very Christ-like thing to do. Many "Christians" have forgotten that these are the real values of Jesus. Because he fronts one of the world's best and most famous rock bands, he is in a particularly good position to do something like this. He went to Harvard to take seminars on economics, particularly third world debt. Do you have some sort of a problem with someone trying to help the poor? What exactly do you find so funny about all this? Did you know that 40,000 people still die every single day of easily preventible diseases in the third world, incidentally? Don't you think Jesus would care about that if he were here?
