Do you have of age kids and if so what do you say to them or would you say to them in light of iraq? In vietnam it was the draftees who seemed abused and being used as cannon fodder in a war many wanted no part of. In Iraq it is the perceived overuse of troops--too many tours; reserves getting a raw deal etc that makes me think these folks might feel that there superiors and particulary the political side may have been disingenous. The opened ended nature of the adminstration position, the lack of adequate force levels worldwide and the above items would make me very hesitant not to intervene if my kid chose to enlist. This is written purely as a dad.
