I want to see what passes at the end of all this. I'm especially intrigued by the payment for XS power. That used to be the case here, but I found out, in talking with the vendors, that right now all we can do is break even; xs power is a freebie to PGE.
If that really is the case, I'll probably end up paying a bit for for a "time of use" meter. This not only runs backwards, but records when you use, and make, energy. A watt during peak hours, 1000-1800, I believe, is worth 3 times as much as a watt generated during off-peak hours. I think the meter costs about an extra 100 bucks, but it should be well worth it. Then all I have to do is plug the creek in. Be a nice retirement income.
