Went shopping for a new patio umbrella today. The old one, made in China, (!), had bamboo ribs and what with my ham handed handling, a number of the ribs split at joints...and so the shopping. We looked at a rather pricey one, and lo and behold it contained a set of flexible solar panels arranged on the top of the canopy around the central area adjacent the pole. And the lights were arrayed on the underside of the ribs to provide some solar stored light to night time visitors. Nanergy is in a growing business! NanoSigns, lanterns and anything else which needs light after dusk.
