John Kerry's lie about spending Christmas 1968 in Cambodia now making it into the mainstream media. You say it doesn't matter? Of course it does. He says you can't trust George W. Bush, but Kerry lied on the Senate floor in order to influence U.S. foreign policy. While all of the recent probes by the Senate Intelligence Committee, the 9/11 Commission and the British government show that Bush did not lie about Iraq and its weapons programs and its connections to terrorism, Kerry tells lies that are, at once, both intended to influence American policy and to inflate his own image as a tortured hero....

As one of the bloggers who covered the "Bush was AWOL!" stupidty in-depth, I, too, am enjoying the mainstream media expose its pro-Kerry bias so completely by its complete ingnoring of Kerry's "Christmas in Cambodia" lie. Neal Boortz has a good column on it....

But the New York Times and the Washington Post are still covering for him, even though one of the accusations made against Kerry by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has now proven to be true. This much we know: John Kerry lied on the Senate floor in 1986 about spending Christmas 1968 on a secret, illegal mission in Cambodia. And he's lied about it repeatedly. He's probably lying about it now. For more details on this developing story, check Instapundit regularly - he's doing some incredible blog-journalism and putting Big Media to shame on this story. This story is important, for Kerry has been caught not just aggrandizing his own image a la Al Gore four years ago, but has been caught in a lie of major proportions delivered on the Senate floor in an effort to shape U.S. foreign policy. As Hugh Hewitt wrote:If John Kerry can be conclusively demonstrated to have lied about aspects of his Vietnam service, the media has to ask what else has he been lying about.
