The Lies of John Kerry, March 04, 2004
With this post I have launched a new category here at HobbsOnline, "Kerry's Lies." Posts there will also be cross-posted in the "Campaign Season" category. I intend to make the Kerry's Lies file the definitive repository of the best of the blogosphere on that topic - good enough for pro-Bush bloggers to make it a prominent and permanent link throughout the campaign. But I can't do it all by myself - this needs to be a joint project of many pro-Bush bloggers. If you blog about Kerry lies - from the recent past or in the upcoming campaign - and show why they are factually wrong, send me the link so I can post it here! If you aren't a blogger, just one of the 11 million American adults who regularly read blogs, and you catch Kerry in a new whopper, let me know. We'll start off with the indispensable FactCheck.org, which is slamming John Kerry for two big lies in an attack-video the Kerry campaign has emailed to its supporters. The Kerry ad lies when it claims Bush has cut veterans' benefits and lies again about jobs and the economy. As always, FactCheck.org – a nonpartisan project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania – provides copious footnotes and links. Last week, FactCheck exploded the myth being pushed by Kerry that the federal budget deficit under Bush is "the largest in history." FactCheck confirms what I showed weeks ago - the current deficits are not even close to the largest in history when analyzed in proper context. Click here and here for my posts on the topic.
