In an editorial June 22 you say that impeachment of President Bush will not happen. Don't be too sure. I well remember how slowly the press treated the Watergate break-in - small stories buried in the back of the paper - and the parallel to the Downing Street memo is striking.

Besides your editorial, Molly Ivins' column was devoted to the evidence that Bush took the country to war under false pretenses and had no plan for the occupation. These two commentaries are signs that some momentum is building, finally.

Nixon's crimes pale in comparison to those of Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld. Especially effective in your editorial was the juxtaposition of Bush's words and the words of the memo.
