Sigh...there really isn't any excuse for ignorance these days given the plethora of information on the Internet.

Six years ago, in June 1999, BRKB had a trading range of 2211 to 2425.

On the other hand, the S&P's trading range was 1277 to 1372.

Depending upon where one purchased the S&P six years ago, the would either have a (small) gain or a loss. On the other hand, those who purchased BRKB would've made more money.
