I hang out there a lot - it's great to fight all the retirees for the latest bottle of red yeast rice - hehe. And they always keep it nice and cool in this florida heatwave. I go there to do my daily walks sometimes - 3 or 4 rounds through the store.

I want to find the new trends like Peter Lynch and his daughters taught - more proof women have all the power in America - hehe. He hung out at the mall too much I think.

A long time ago I first got on USENET feeds - sci.econ was always fun in college - long before SI or its parents were around. Later AOL, prodigy and compuserve were the next places I visited as they entered existence.

Later I visited raging bull, the fool and here as they were birthed. I used to try and chat with the folks on YHOO xom boards too, but you are right, too many loons just throwing money around and making mad predictions with no rationality at all. It's all good though, over time everything reverts to the mean and the loons will get bored.

SI has to be one of the best communities for chewing the fat on stocks from the retail level and the only one of the above I read much anymore.

Then the blogs started up - The General was one of the first I started reading for his hilarity and charm. I still check him out and a few others from time to time - between the hedges was the last one I added to my watch list - hedgefundmgr.blogspot.com - there are so many now I have given up trying to find new ones.

I have been reading the morningstar boards and elitetrader for awhile now too - they seem to be less inundated with nuts.

Tv - bloomberg(rarely), morning call segment of CNBC and CSPAN1 2 and 3 for the real laughs. C-span is my favorite network by far and has brought me more entertainment than comedy central.

Radio - phil and the wizard. I gave all the radio shows I could find a 2 month commitment and those were the only 2 that kept me entertained (Bob Brinker missed my fishing net). I was trying to keep up with kaultbaum too but I hear rumors he is gonna be a shill on the new FOX BUSINESS channel. (sigh)

Weekends I listen to puplava but only if he has an interesting guest.

I used to read the economist but who has time anymore? Can you add some good suggestions to the mix MOO?
