He said he loved australia - the women were loose and the beer strong - that they partied nonstop all the time. He told me some story about russell crowe at a party being a real dick - and putting a coin on some cliff to see who could climb up and get it near where mr crowe lived - i thought he was in one of his drunken stupors again and lying though - hehe. But after russels latest blow up who knows.

Yah the people that turned him in got a reward. He was picking grapes on some farm for beer money. He burned his passport when he got to australia and hoped to find a girl to marry to get citizenship - he met a few that used him for his body but none would marry him. No he had no money - he always drinks up all his money - so they could not make him buy his own ticket - they did lock him up for about 20 days -
He was hungry so he was glad they did - 3 hots and a cot - no one would have paid to get him out - he was given a choice of a plane ride back to cali or hawaii - he took hawaii - he is a wanted felon in the state of ga (didn't pay child support and something to do with parole violation and bad checks) - they contacted US authorities I believe - friends I had in the police department told me they knew he was in Hawaii and a wanted felon - but they couldn't justify the money to pay for him to go from hawaii to ga or to send an officer over there to get him. (basically they said let hawaii feed him - hehe)

He loves hawaii, they gave him some kind of welfare card where he gets free money and food, they did about 2K of needed dental work on him free, he sleeps on the beach sometimes, sneaks into luau's and eats like a king - I lived on OAHU for 3 years at wheeler AFB back in the 80's and I am very envious he is there now, I may go live with him next year for awhile. He is surfing with the slants and polynesians and eating lots of pineapple. He even saw my old friend Magnum at some party.

Australia is an island, much easier to police the borders no? The USA will never be able to have immigration control comparable to there. I remember when we first moved to OAHU we were told no snakes were allowed on the island and they had imported mongoose to kill wild ones they might have missed - see you can control stuff like that on an island.

Centipedes were always biting me though - very bad on the base for some reason - but I don't remember a lot of mosquitoes or the sweltering heat like we have here in florida.

I don't remember Hawaii having this red tide problem that we got here either, the more I live here in Fla the less I like it.
