There is no smoking gun to link Saddam to 9/11. However, what do you think of the plane fuselage found at the terrorist training camp, Salman Pak ( globalsecurity.org )? Also, what do you think of the fact that Al-Zwahiri was known to take refuge in Iraq and met with Iraqi security officials, this in a country where nothing went on without the knowledge of Saddam? After all, we DO know for a fact that Saddam engineered an assassination attempt against Bush Sr ( newyorker.com ). Also, what do you think about the fact that Saddam cultivated ties with known terrorist group like Ansar Al-Islam ( iraqinews.com )? And what do you think of the fact that Saddam funded Palestinian suicide bombers( cbsnews.com )?

I think the evidence is circumstantial that Saddam was involved in 9/11, but we sure as hell know that he was involved in terrorism. In addition, I wouldn't categorically state that Saddam had no knowledge of the attacks. I regard things like this very much like the idea of aliens or ghosts. The truth is that we may never know the truth, or at least not any time soon.

But to state as a fact that Saddam had no knowledge of 9/11 is like stating you know for a fact that there is no other intelligent life in the multiverse. That is making a statement that you can't possibly verify. The same applies to the converse. There is some evidence that would make one suspect Saddam knew something, but there is no evidence that directly links him to that knowledge.
