>> What did you think of Pope John XXIII? <<

i was not even alive when he died, so my opinion is limited to the little that i know of him. i believe he was responsible for Vatican II, which i have no extraordinary knowledge or insight on.

but i will say this much. the longer the roman catholic church has remained separated from the body of Christ, the deeper it delves into heresy. for instance the roman church recently celebrated the 150th anniversary of the dogma of the "immaculate conception" of the mother of God, a heresy to be sure. then a little more than fifteen years later the roman church delved into deeper heresy at the first vatican council with the decree concerning papal infallibility. the more recent second vatican council just piled on more heresy to the previous examples i cited.

the roman church considers itself to be making progress by moving forward, when in actuality to be reconciled to Christ and his body the true Catholic Church the roman church would need to repent and cast its gaze backwards--meaning a return to the ancient traditions of orthodox popes.

St. Gregory the Great for instance, Pope of Rome around 600 a.d. or St. Leo the Great, pope around 150 years before him.
