Kerry did explain his policy clearly. In fact he did it on Hardball in front of the Citadel months before the invasion. And turns out he was 100% right.

Later on, the Bushies just kept blasting him with smears and mocking ads which confused the issues and turned everything upside down. It was dirty politics at its finest. Making a truth-teller look like a liar and vice versa. But enough is enough. No more rightwing regimes in this country.
