Property & civil rights were excellent. The ability to advance personally most likely the best in Africa. Actual racial discrimination was largely illegal.

And now, everything the racists in Rhodesia sneered about has happened. They have gone "back to the bush." South Africa will not be far behind. "Folk Wisdom" is often right on.
