Nope. I'm not speaking through the lense of Bush's neocons or the Republican bullhorn. I'm speaking the truth as I see it.

Our enemies are OPEC and the dictators who run it. Period. Our enemies are the uneducated Imams in Saudi Arabia and other Muslim countries who use their religion to oppress their people instead of allowing the people to get educated and figure out how to modernize Islam and make it a tolerant religion. The most backward in terms of religion is Saudi Arabia, followed VERY closely by Iran. And both are spreading their virulence throughout the world.

That is why I continually say that we are fighting this war with one hand behind our back. If we were serious about winning, then a winning strategy would be to consider applying massive pressure to Saudi Arabia to reform peaceably, getting very tough with Iran and bringing them before the UN Security Council asap, and all the while spending at least $200B on getting hybrids, EVs, NGVs, and other alternative fuel vehicles out to every American asap. We could finance the alternative fuel vehicle program by reducing our troop presence in Iraq starting in 2006 after the constitutional elections to 25% of the troops we have there today.
