If she is good she or you won't have to pay or not pay much. I never paid a dime as they say in American and got paid living expenses - well a very tiny amount as an undergrad and gradually more as a grad student. I went where the money was. Find a school or government that will pay. That will probably be the right level school for the student.

At the grad level people only should pay to do professional degrees (law, business, medicine). Otherwise tell the school to get lost :)
