Re: Real Estate is local and so too will be its affects. Yes, there will be a multiplier effect across the economy given the extent of the bubble, but for the most part, I expect bubble areas to have severe downturns that will affect local economies far greater than the national.


This is probably the most likely scenario, though for a time everyone could take a hit. After 2000 nearly every stock fell in the years following the bubble's burst, but some stocks came back very quickly. This is how I see your scenario playing out.
