July 1 (Bloomberg) -- General Motors Corp., the world's biggest automaker, said extending employee discounts to all buyers in June increased sales for the month by 47 percent as Toyota Motor Corp. and other automakers also gained.

GM sales rose to 558,092 vehicles from 380,267 for the same month a year ago as light trucks gained 76 percent. The total was the largest of any month for GM since September 1986.

Where is GM getting all this money to be able to afford selling at such huge discounts ?
